Privacy Policy

This page explains what 3 meals 2 naps stores on your device, what we do not collect, and what we receive in crash reports.

Last updated: 2026-05-01

What we store on your device

3 meals 2 naps stores your records in a local SQLite database on your iPhone, plus a managed file cache for photos, videos, and Live Photos you attach to records. This is the source of truth for your data.

These local stores include:

  • Baby profiles, including names, birth dates, and avatars you provide.
  • Activity records: feedings, sleep, diaper events, growth, sizing, pumping, milestones, vaccines, medication, visits, symptoms, and moments.
  • Photos, videos, and Live Photos you attach to those records.
  • App preferences such as language, units, and Today screen layout.

What we do not collect

We do not upload your records, photos, or notes to our servers as part of normal app use.

We do not run advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics for marketing in the iOS app. We do not sell your data.

We do not require an account to log records. A sign-in flow is only needed for subscription management.

Crash and diagnostic reports

We use a third-party crash reporting service (currently Sentry) to receive crash and exception reports from the app so that we can fix bugs and improve quality.

A crash or error report typically includes:

  • Device model, iOS version, and app version.
  • The stack trace at the time of the error.
  • Recent in-app breadcrumbs (for example, "opened Today screen", "saved feeding") that help us reproduce the issue.

A crash report does not include the contents of your records, photos, audio, messages, or any baby-identifying information you have entered. We use these reports only to diagnose and fix problems, and the data is processed on our behalf by the crash reporting provider under their published security and retention practices.

Subscriptions and entitlements

Subscription state is provided by RevenueCat and Apple’s App Store. We store an entitlement mirror on our backend (linked to your Apple subscription) so that subscription status can be checked across devices in the future. We do not store your Apple ID or payment details.

Permissions we request

The iOS app may request the following permissions, only when you use the corresponding feature:

  • Camera — to take photos or videos to attach to a record.
  • Photo library — to attach existing photos or videos.
  • Microphone — to record voice notes attached to a record.
  • Notifications — to remind you about milestones, vaccines, or scheduled tasks (only if you enable them).

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Children’s privacy

The app is designed to help caregivers track infants and young children. Caregivers, not children, are the users of the app. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. If we introduce features that change how data is collected, we will update this page before those features ship to general availability.
